India To Compete In FIFA Series 2026 In Kenya; Set To Face Hosts On April 11

India will face Kenya and Australia will meet Malawi on April 11. The losing teams from those fixtures will play each other on April 15, followed by a clash between the two winners.

The Indian women's football team will be travelling to Kenya next month to participate in the FIFA Series 2026.

The FIFA Series is a football tournament that promotes comprehensive football growth that extends beyond match day. According to FIFA, the tournament will offer participating teams the priceless opportunity to test themselves against opposition from diverse region. There will be separate tournaments for men and women. All the matches played in this tournament are international friendlies.

For the women's side of the tournament, there will be 16 teams participating and the matches will be played in Brazil, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Thailand. Each of these four nations will be hosting three other teams. Other than India, Kenya will also be hosting Australia and Malawi for these matches.

All the matches will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.

India's women's team recently participated in the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia. The team exited the tournament following three straight defeats at the hands of Vietnam, Japan and Chinese Taipei. The team is ranked No. 67 on the FIFA's world rankings.
