Yes Securities Report

Voltas Ltd., has been losing market share and its year-to-date August market share stood at 22.8% and exit market share at end of August stood at 23%; Market share loss is on thin volumes as this is the lean quarter for room air conditioner.

Voltas being a market leader will play a balance card managing both market share and margins. Margins are expected to be lower as competition continues to be intense and players will continue to fight for market share.

Volt‐Bek has seen subdued demand on lower consumer sentiment which resulted in volume decline.

The projects business was marred by provisioning of Rs 1064 million related to international project where its contract was terminated by main contractor and its bank guarantee was encased.
