- Vijay Kedia's patriotic song on India goes viral amid US-India trade deal announcement
- The song warns against shorting India, calling the nation precious and blessed
- US President Trump announced a trade deal reducing tariffs on Indian imports to 18%
Against the backdrop of the historic trade deal between India and US, ace investor Vijay Kedia has sung a patriotic song lauding his country. The song is now viral on social media.
Kedia posted on X:
“Ab ek secret tujhe, apun bhi batayega,
India ko short kiya to, God bhi na bachayega.
India habeeb mera India naseeb hai.
Tu bada hi azeez hai , Tu bada hi ajeeb hai.
Jo bhi tujhko leke baitha, wo hi khushnaseeb hai.”
The song can be translated as follows:
“Now a secret for you, I'll let you in on it too,
Short India? Even God won't save you.
India's my beloved, India is my destiny.
You're super precious, you're super weird.
Whoever stands with you, that one's truly blessed.”

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Washington had finalised a trade agreement with India, linking the announcement to assurances from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on curbing purchases of Russian oil amid the Ukraine conflict.
According to Trump, tariffs on Indian imports would be reduced to 18%. The move follows an earlier decision to impose reciprocal duties of 25%, alongside an additional levy tied to India's continued energy trade with Moscow.
“Out of friendship and respect for Prime Minister Modi and, as per his request, effective immediately, we agreed to a Trade Deal between the United States and India, whereby the United States will charge a reduced Reciprocal Tariff, lowering it from 25% to 18%. They will likewise move forward to reduce their Tariffs and Non Tariff Barriers against the United States, to ZERO,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The move pointed to easing tensions between New Delhi and Washington after a period of friction triggered by Trump's tariff measures. The United States remains India's largest export market, absorbing roughly one-fifth of the country's outbound merchandise trade.
