United Breweries Ltd. has confirmed that one of its employees has inadvertently disclosed the company's unpublished price sensitive information to outsiders, without any necessary safeguards.
In a regulatory filing on Thursday, the Kingfisher beer maker said that on May 5, 2026, an employee had shared the company's draft annual financial results with one outside individual before they were formally approved and disclosed. The company added that the board-approved financial results were duly disclosed to the stock exchanges on the same way.
The release of the financial results came within hours of the inadvertent disclosure.
In the fourth quarter of financial year ending March 2026, United Breweries' reported a 4% increase in net profit, with a consolidated bottom line of Rs 102 crore. However, revenue from operations has declined over 3% to Rs 2,250 crore as against Rs 2,323 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
The company has also declared a final dividend of Rs 10 per share, and said that if approved it will be paid on or before Sept. 10, 2026.
