Gold and silver traded flat on Tuesday morning. Precious metals are expected to remain sensitive to incoming geopolitical developments in West Asia, which will continue to play a crucial role in shaping market direction in the domestic markets, analysts told PTI. The outlook follows one of the strongest years for precious metals in decades. Silver surged more than 142% during FY26, while gold rallied around 67%, driven by Trump's tariff war, geopolitical tensions, robust central bank purchases, tightening supply conditions and global economic uncertainty.
The gold rate in India at the close of Thursday was Rs 1,50,240 per 10 gms while the silver rate in India was Rs 2,34,170 per 1 kg, according the Bullions website.
In the international market, spot gold edged up 0.2% to $4,659.25 an ounce at 7:08 a.m. Singapore time. Silver climbed 0.3% to $73.07, as per Bloomberg.
