According to Kotak, the rally in precious metals is driven by the US Treasury's expansion of long-dated bond buybacks, which pushed yields and the dollar lower while raising concerns over fiscal credibility and possible weakening of the currency. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index, a gauge of the dollar, gained 0.1%.

What To Expect Next?

Typically, softer real yields, a weaker dollar, stronger investment demand and fiscal uncertainty remain distinctly bullish for gold. The pace of the advance, however leaves the market vulnerable to profit-taking, while a renewed rise in Treasury yields or the dollar could trigger consolidation. Fundamental outlook remain bullish, with dips likely to attract strategic buying unless macro liquidity conditions reverse, it add.
