Global Health Ltd. is one of the largest private multi-speciality tertiary care providers in terms of bed capacity and operating revenues in the North and East regions of India.
The company was founded by Dr. Naresh Trehan, a world-renowned cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon. Under the 'Medanta' brand, it has a network of five hospitals currently in operation (Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow and Patna) and one hospital (Noida), which is under construction.
Global Health has two material subsidiaries- Global Health Patliputra Pvt. Ltd., and Medanta Holdings Pvt. Ltd.
In FY22, Global Health had the second-largest operating profit margin versus its listed peers. Global Health also had the second-highest average revenue per occupied bed in FY22 versus listed peers.
Going forward, an increase in total bed capacity and an improvement in occupancy rates across hospitals can further aid margins.
