Jana Nayagan, the much-delayed film starring actor Vijay, is facing fresh trouble after a part of the film was leaked online before its censor approval. The issue comes at a crucial time, as this film is expected to be Vijay's last before he fully enters politics.
According to reports, a 5-minute 31-second clip from the film has been leaked and is being widely circulated across platforms like X, YouTube, Reddit, and Instagram. The leaked footage reportedly shows the title credits, Vijay's introduction scene and a fight sequence. Even though some posts have been removed, the clip is still being shared widely.
It is believed that the video was recorded either during a test screening in a theatre or from the editing stage. Some reports say the clip even shows a man pausing the video at the end, raising doubts about a possible internal leak. However, there is no official confirmation yet about how the footage was leaked. The production house, KVN Productions, has not released any statement so far.
Fans have reacted strongly and are asking people not to share the leaked clip. Many have tagged the makers on social media and demanded strict action. A fan account also warned that a cybercrime complaint has been filed, and those sharing the video could face legal action.

Actor Sibi Sathyaraj also expressed concern, writing, "Shocked and disturbed to hear about footage being leaked from #JanaNayagan! Whoever did this must understand the money, effort and hard work involved in making a film. I sincerely request everyone to refrain from watching and spreading the videos."
Film producer G. Dhananjheyan called the leak "outrageous" and urged immediate legal action, questioning the targeting of Vijay's final film.
Echoing the sentiment, a social media influencer wrote, "#JanaNayagan: A Rs 400-500 crore film just got leaked overnight. This is the toughest time for the producer, distributors and the entire team. They should have been more cautious, especially as the film was already facing serious trouble."
Directed by H. Vinoth, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju. It was initially scheduled to release on January 9 but was delayed due to censorship issues, and the planned February release also did not happen. Earlier, the makers took to their official page to inform about the delay.
