Thalapathy Vijay's film Jana Nayagan was initially set to release on January 9. Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is reportedly Vijay's last film before he takes up politics as his full-time job, leaving the cinema industry.

However, due to censorship issues, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has delayed the certification. Despite KVN Productions raising concerns over a potential Rs 100 crore loss, the film has been indefinitely postponed due to further delays. There are reports of Jana Nayagan being locked on June 18, days before Vijay's birthday, which can strategically help with the box office numbers. However, there has been no confirmation from the team yet.

Rajnikanth's Message To Youth

While asking about Jana Nayagan, Rajnikanth was also reportedly asked about the recent Karur stampede, which took place during a rally hosted by Vijay. Over 40 lives were lost and several others were injured.

Rajnikanth said, "Youth must be very careful. If they get hurt, the hardship is theirs alone. They must prioritise their safety."

Moreover, he also emphasized the importance of education and said, "The youth should think seriously about their education and future. Youngsters should be careful... If they get injured, it's their loss…They should focus on their studies and stay healthy. Please don't get addicted to drugs or alcohol. Life can turn into hell not just for you, but for your parents and loved ones. If any of your friends are using them, don't go near them."

Rajnikanth recently featured in Coolie, which was produced by Kalanithi Maran. His upcoming movies include Jailer 2, the action-comedy sequel to Jailer (2023).
