Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri's O Romeo continues its theatrical run with a steady first-week performance, collecting Rs 43.85 crore net in India by Day 6 and taking its worldwide total to about Rs 67.15 crore. The Vishal Bhardwaj directorial opened strongly over the Valentine's Day weekend and built a solid initial total before the expected weekday slowdown set in, according to data from Sacnilk.

After a promising start, the film maintained a good pace through its opening weekend and entered the weekdays with decent momentum. By Day 5, the domestic collection had already crossed the Rs 40 crore mark, giving the film a strong foundation for the rest of the week. However, like most releases, the numbers saw a drop from Monday onwards. On Day 6, the film added around Rs 3.5 crore, showing that while the growth had slowed, it continued to draw audiences to theatres.

Early estimates for Day 7 suggest another modest addition, indicating a fairly stable hold rather than a sharp fall. This consistency has helped the film stay on track for a respectable extended first-week total, with the India net expected to move closer to Rs 47 crore.

The film's performance has been driven largely by Shahid Kapoor's intense turn, which has emerged as one of its biggest highlights and a major reason for footfall. Triptii Dimri's presence has also added to the film's appeal, particularly among younger viewers. At the same time, mixed reactions to the screenplay and pacing seem to have affected repeat viewings, which is reflected in the weekday trend.

Overseas markets have contributed significantly to the overall tally, ensuring that the global gross crossed Rs 67 crore within the first week itself. This international push has helped balance the slower domestic growth during the weekdays.

Trade analysts believe the second weekend will be crucial for the film. A noticeable jump in collections could help it comfortably cross the Rs 50 crore mark in India and strengthen its lifetime prospects.
