After dominating the box office for nearly seven weeks, Ranveer Singh's blockbuster Dhurandhar 2 has finally shown signs of slowing down. Marking the end of its theatrical run, the film has officially concluded its consistency streak.
Dhurandhar 2 Day 47 Collection
According to Sacnilk reports, Dhurandhar 2 earned around Rs 0.50 crore net on Monday. This marks a sharp 61.8% drop from Sunday's collection of Rs 1.31 crore. These figures have broken the consistency streak of the film, as, for the first time in its theatrical run, the film has collected figures below the Rs 1 crore mark.
Despite the decline, the film has amassed an impressive Rs 1,139.10 crore in India net. With over Rs 1,789 crore worldwide gross so far, it has become the second highest grossing Indian film already by beating big releases like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Decreased Screen Count
While Dhurandhar 2 was playing on over 2,000 shows across the country in previous weeks, the screen count has dropped sharply in its seventh weekend. The film was screened on 851 shows on Friday, which was further reduced to 747 on Saturday and 719 on Sunday. On Monday, it was running on 753 shows with a low occupancy of 16.9%
Reasons Behind the Drop
The drop in collections is largely expected as Dhurandhar 2 has entered its seventh week. The film is now facing stiff competition from several new releases, including the recently released historical drama Raja Shivaji, South Indian films Kara and Patriot, as well as major Hollywood releases like The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Michael. Screen count has also reduced significantly, with the movie now playing on limited shows. However, it held decently in major multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis on Monday by selling 4,420 tickets and earning Rs 12 lakh gross from 479 shows.

While Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has already broken several records and stands behind Aamir Khan's Dangal in the highest grossing Indian films, the staying power is remarkable. Meanwhile, Bhooth Bangla, which entered its third weekday, is collecting modest numbers across over 4000 shows, indicating a good audience pull.
