The digital world just exploded as Deepika Padukone finally replied to trolls regarding her 'silent treatment' of her husband Ranveer Singh's film, Dhurandhar 2. While the rest of the industry, including cricket icons, have praised Aditya Dhar for the directorial masterpiece, Deepika's lack of public comment or shoutout had triggered a wave of trolling.
After being surrounded by brutal trolling for 'not supporting' her husband's success, Deepika chose a subtle yet powerful way to shut down the noise. In a recent viral video posted on Instagram, it was mentioned that Deepika skipped the Dhurandhar 2 screening and, in fact, attended a concert the following night. It also addressed Deepika's PR team, as they had not commented on anything anywhere.

Highlighting the success of the film and how Dhurandhar eventually became a major moment for Ranveer, the video also addressed trolls from social media users who said, 'Why can't she support her own husband's film?' The video concluded with, 'Is this a deliberate statement or is the internet reading too much into celebrity social media silence?'
The caption read, "Deepika Padukone just gave the 'silent treatment' to a Rs 500 crore budget. While Dhurandhar: The Revenge shatters global records, Deepika skipped the premiere to attend a sitar concert with her in-laws instead. No posts, no praise, just silence." With a poll, the caption also read, "Is she making a statement against the director or just dodging the internet's favourite drama?"
However, it was Deepika's recent response to the video that has now gone viral. She wrote, "The latter my friend...P.S. I watched it way before any of you did ????Now who is the joke on? ????"
Earlier, after the release of Dhurandhar in December 2025, Deepika had openly praised the movie. In an Instagram story, she had written, "Dhurandhar has been watched, and it is worth every minute of those 3.34 hours. So do yourself a favour and get to a cinema hall NOW! So incredibly proud of you @ranveersingh! Congratulations to the entire cast and crew."

However, since the release of Dhurandhar 2, Deepika has not made any public statement regarding Ranveer's performance or the movie.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has now completed 20 days at the box office, and the numbers keep getting higher. With unstoppable hype, Dhurandhar 2 has now crossed Rs 1,640 crore in terms of worldwide gross collections.
By crossing Rs 1,033 crore net collections in India, it has surpassed Baahubali 2 and stands just behind Pushpa 2.
