Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan's Border 2 continues its impressive box office journey even as it enters its fourth week in theatres. The patriotic war drama has now collected Rs 321.95 crore net in India and a massive Rs 440.25 crore globally by Day 24, reinforcing its position as one of the biggest Hindi hits of 2026, according to data from Sacnilk.
The film, which was released around the Republic Day weekend, benefited hugely from the holiday period and opened to a thunderous response. It started with a strong Rs 30 crore on its first day and saw a huge jump to Rs 59 crore on Republic Day, setting the tone for a record-breaking first week. By the end of Week 1, the film had amassed a staggering Rs 224.25 crore in India, driven by strong word of mouth, nostalgia for the original Border, and its large-scale war sequences.
Collections saw a natural drop in the following weeks but remained steady enough to keep the film on a strong overall total. Week 2 contributed Rs 70.15 crore, while Week 3 added Rs 23.35 crore to the domestic tally. As the film moved into its fourth week, the daily earnings slowed significantly, which is expected for a long-running theatrical release. On Day 22, it earned Rs 0.8 crore, followed by Rs 1.9 crore on Day 23 and around Rs 1.5 crore on Day 24 (fourth Sunday).
Despite the slowdown, the film's overall performance remains extraordinary. The huge first-week numbers ensured that the film comfortably crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India and the Rs 440 crore milestone worldwide. The overseas market has also played a key role in pushing the global total to this level.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 brings together a powerful ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, and tells a large-scale story set against the backdrop of the 1971 war. The film's patriotic theme, action set pieces and emotional narrative have been major crowd-pullers since its release.
While new releases have started taking up screens and the film's daily numbers have reduced, Border 2 has already secured blockbuster status with its massive cumulative total. With over three weeks of strong theatrical performance behind it, the film stands as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year and a major comeback success for Sunny Deol at the box office.
