Honda Cars India is gearing up to launch the City Facelift in the Indian market. Ahead of its official launch, the premium sedan has been spotted without camouflage for the first time in India. The newly surfaced images offer a clear look at the updated styling elements that were previously concealed. The upcoming model remains an important offering for the brand and continues to be available with a hybrid powertrain option in its current version.

A post on X also highlighted the sedan's refreshed design. The handle shared two images and captioned it, “Here's how the 2026 Honda City might look compared to the outgoing version. The second facelift will be launched on 22nd May, and it'll come with a host of changes, including revised exterior and interior along with more features on offer. Engine options will continue to be the same. Which one do you like more?”

Front-End Gets A Fresh Look

According to NDTV, the biggest change in the City Facelift is at the front. It gets redesigned LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a new grille, and Honda's updated H badge on the bonnet. A revised front bumper adds a sharper look, with angular elements giving it a more planted stance. The changes are evolutionary rather than a full redesign. The side profile remains largely unchanged, though the alloy wheels have been updated. The rear is not fully visible, but the tail lamps and rear bumper are expected to be revised.

Cabin Tweaks, New Tech Touches

Inside, the Facelift is expected to bring minor updates, including new upholstery, a larger infotainment screen and slight dashboard revisions.  New features may include a 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, and connected car tech. Safety kit is expected to remain unchanged with six airbags and ADAS features like adaptive cruise control and auto high beam assist.

Same Engine, Familiar Rivals

The facelift is expected to retain the 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 121 hp and 145 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or CVT. A hybrid variant is also expected to continue. Once launched, it will compete with the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
