As counting continues across Tamil Nadu and three other states — Assam, West Bengal, and Kerala — the spotlight remains firmly on actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), which has taken an lead in Tamil Nadu and is emerging as a key player.
At 1.30 pm, TVK was leading in 110 seats, ADMK+ on 62 seats and DMK on 61 seats.
Speaking to PTI, TVK spokesperson Felix Gerald said, "TVK will form govt on its own, DMK was running about in a dark room, now they know the reality."

Vijay, the actor-turned-politician and the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is also leading in the both constituencies he is contesting. In Tiruchirappalli East Assembly seat, he has garnered 19,752 votes. DMK's S. Inigo Irudayaraj is second with 12,262 votes as the counting is underway.
In Perambur seat, Vijay is keading with 34,482 votes, while his main competitor, R. D. Shekhar from DMK, is lagging behind with 20,908 votes after 6 rounds of counting.

The target majority in Tamil Nadu is set at 118, making it possible for TVK to achieve a full majority.
