Selection process and exam pattern

The RBI structures the selection process across three distinct phases: an Initial Assessment, a Final Assessment, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Authorities will conduct the LPT in the official or regional language of the candidate's state, disqualifying those who fail to demonstrate adequate proficiency.

The Initial Assessment comprises 100 questions worth 100 marks, split into 30 questions on English (30 marks), 35 on Numerical Skills (35 marks), and 35 on Logical Reasoning (35 marks), with a total duration of 60 minutes.

The Final Assessment expands to 200 questions carrying 200 marks, featuring 40 questions each on Logical Reasoning (40 marks), English (40 marks), Numerical Skills (40 marks), General Knowledge (40 marks), and Computer Literacy (40 marks). Both assessments apply negative marking for incorrect responses.
