The counting of votes for the 2026 Puducherry Assembly elections will begin at 8 am.
The Authorities have established six counting centres across the four regions — Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam — to process results for all 30 Assembly constituencies.
The exercise will determine the fate of 294 candidates, including incumbent Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, who is seeking another term.

Polling for the Assembly elections was held in April 2026 witnessing a historic voter turnout of 91.23%—the highest ever recorded in Puducherry.
This surpassed the previous high of 86% in 2006, reflecting strong public participation in the democratic process.
