An IndiGo flight, 6E 97, was diverted to Ahmedabad following a bomb scare and landed safely at around 5:40 PM, sources told NDTV Profit. The airline is carrying out necessary security checks as per standard protocols following the incident.
"6E 97 was diverted to Ahmedabad and landed safely around 5:40 PM. As per standard protocols, necessary checks are underway," sources said.
An alternate aircraft is being arranged for passengers to continue their onward journey. The alternate flight is scheduled to depart at around 8:30 PM.
The threat was discovered after a crew member found the word "Bomb" written on a piece of paper inside the aircraft, according to media reports. There were 107 passengers and six crew members onboard the flight. All passengers and crew members were safe at Terminal 2 of the airport, police said.

Following the aircraft's arrival, the Special Operations Group (SOG), local police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
Ahmedabad Police said, "Lucknow-Dammam 6E 97 IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad after a bomb threat oonboard. A member of the crew had found 'Bomb' written on a piece of paper. There are 107 passengers and 6 crew membes onboard all of them are safe at Terminal 2 of the airport. SOG, local Police and CISF conducted an inspection of the aircraft. Nothing suspicious was found onboard the aircraft."
No suspicious object or material was found onboard during the inspection, according to the police.
