Voting has ended in 89 constituencies of Gujarat Assembly election across 19 districts.
18.95% voter turnout recorded till 11 am in the first phase of% voter turnout was recorded in the first hour of polling on Thursday in the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections in 89 seats.
Surat district recorded a turnout of about 4%, while Dang and Tapi, recorded voting 7.76% and 7.25%, respectively.
Porbandar recorded turnout of 3.92% so far, while Kutch district reported 5%.

The BJP and the Congress are contesting all 89 seats.
The AAP is contesting 88 seats. Its candidate from the Surat-East constituency had withdrawn his candidature, leaving the party with one less seat to contest in the first phase.
Apart from the BJP, Congress, and AAP, 36 other political outfits including the Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party, Communist Party of India-Marxist, and Bharatiya Tribal Party have also fielded candidates in various seats, up for grabs the first phase.
