Bank Holiday Today: All private and public sector banks across the northeastern state of Tripura will remain closed on Monday, Feb. 3 on the occasion of Saraswati Puja, according to the holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India.
However, banks across other parts of the country will remain open on the day.
According to the RBI bank holiday calendar, bank holidays are categorised into three broad types — holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and Banks' Closing of Accounts. Bank holidays are based on the RBI calendar.
