Shares of NTPC Ltd., Adani Green Ltd., Suzlon, and other green hydrogen companies traded mostly lower on Saturday, as no major government announcements came for the sector in the Union Budget 2025–26, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Stocks of the green hydrogen players declined post the Union Budget 2025, with Siemens Ltd. posting the highest loss of 5.12% at Rs 5,650 apiece, as of 1:49 p.m.
Shares of Cummins India Ltd. followed suit, falling 5.51% to trade at Rs 2,753 per equity share

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her eighth consecutive Union Budget on Feb. 1. The highlight of her speech was the announcement of income tax rebates, which have generated significant buzz.
In addition to tax reforms, Sitharaman also unveiled various schemes aimed at boosting key sectors, including, MSME sector, programs focused on women's welfare and development, schemes for farmers, such as the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, which aims to enhance agricultural productivity and crop diversification.
Proposals to improve education infrastructure and services, measures to boost exports and enhance India's global trade competitiveness were among other announcements made.
