After the second fine imposed by India's competition watchdog, Google on Wednesday said it was committed to its users and developers and that the firm's model had "powered India's digital transformation and expanded access for hundreds of millions of Indians, according to an ANI tweet.

On Tuesday, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) fined Google Rs 936.44 crore for the second time in less than a week, taking the total penalty to ₹ 2,274 core, for misusing its dominant position about Play Store policy and ordered the tech giant to stop engaging in unfair commercial practises.

In response, a Google spokesperson on Wednesday said, "we remain committed to our users and developers and are reviewing the decision to evaluate the next steps," according to a tweet by ANI.
