Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday presented the second full budget of the Modi 3.0 government. The finance minister in Budget 2025-26 took several measures to fuel the economic growth of India to reach the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat' by 2047. Presenting the Union Budget 2025, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Budget will initiate reforms in six domains – taxation, urban development, mining, financial sector, power and regulatory reforms.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a Nuclear Energy Mission to promote research and development of small modular reactors, with an outlay of Rs 20,000 crore. She also announced 10,000 fellowships for tech research at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) in the next five years.
