Air India Set To Roll Out Premium Economy Class On July 1

Air India will launch premium economy class on select domestic routes from July 1, the company announced on Wednesday. The Tata Group-owned airline has refitted two new A320neo aircraft in a three-class configuration.

The premium economy class will have spacious legroom with four-way headrest. Portable electronic device holders and USB ports to charge mobile phones, laptops and other gadgets are among a few new features, according to a release.

"We're turning a new page in our transformation with our first 2 refitted A320neo aircraft in a three-class configuration. Enjoy the luxury of Business class (8 seats), the all-new Premium Economy (24 seats), and the comfort of Economy (132 seats) on our select domestic and short-haul international flights," Air India posted on X.
