Orders bagged by the power transmission & distribution and building & factories segments totaled Rs 1,069 crore, while "additional orders have also been received from various ongoing jobs", L&T said in a statement on Tuesday.
Orders worth Rs 754 crore in the power transmission & distribution business are from Saudi Arabia and Oman. These orders are bagged "against stiff international competition".
The vertical has also received an order from Vizag Transmission, a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India, in Andhra Pradesh.
"In the Buildings and Factory business, new orders worth Rs 315 crore has been received. An order has been bagged from one of the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturers for the design and construction of test tracks and buildings for the company's upcoming innovation research development centre near Jaipur," L&T said.
The water and renewable energy business has received an additional turnkey order from a client in Andhra Pradesh. The scope of the work involves design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning, L&T said.
Shares in L&T, on Tuesday, ended at Rs 1408.80 apiece on the BSE, up 1.56 per cent from the previous close.
