Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East as the conflict between US-Israel and Iran shows no sign of slowdown, Tehran has reportedly laid down six conditions to end the war with the US.

The development comes amid US President Donald Trump claiming that Iran wants to negotiate a deal, but he is not interested, and threatened to obliterate Tehran's power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened in the next 48 hours.

"They want to make a deal. I don't," Trump said in a post on Truth Social, claiming he met his military objectives 'weeks ahead of schedule'.

Meanwhile, according to an Iranian official, what Iran is currently implementing in its defensive war against the United States is a plan it prepared a few months ago, with great strategic patience.

In an interview with Al-Mayadeen, a senior political and security official also claimed that Iran has now established “full control” over the Israeli entity's airspace, after targeting and 'destroying' American and Israeli air defense systems.

The official claimed that several regional parties have conveyed proposals to Tehran seeking to end the war.

Tehran has also set six conditions to end the war, including guarantees to prevent the recurrence of war, closure of US military bases in the region and establishing a legal framework for the Strait of Hormuz.

The official described them a new legal and strategic framework.

The other conditions, according to the report, are payment of compensation to the Islamic Republic, an end to wars across all regional fronts.

Iran has also sought prosecution and extradition of media figures deemed hostile to them.

According to some reports, the US administration has started exploring ways to move toward a possible peace process with Iran.

On Saturday, in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned attacks on critical infrastructure in West Asia and called for keeping the critical shipping lanes 'open and secure'.

Significantly, the Iranian president proposed setting up a regional security framework comprising West Asian countries to bring peace and stability in the region "without foreign interference," according to an Iranian readout of the talks.

Pezeshkian also stressed that late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei "firmly opposed" nuclear weapons and had issued both administrative and religious directives prohibiting any move toward their development, it said.

"President Pezeshkian stressed that, in multiple meetings attended by the Supreme Leader, the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution had firmly opposed nuclear weapons and had issued both administrative and religious directives prohibiting any move toward their development," said Iran's Embassy India in a post on X.
