Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection Week 1: Mythological Animation Film Surpasses Rs 44 Crore

Mythological animation film Mahavatar Narsimha has registered an impressive box office collection in its first week. The movie has surpassed Rs 44 crore at the domestic box office in the first seven days, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.com.

The movie is expected to garner Rs 39 lakh at the domestic box office on Day 8 on Friday, Aug. 1, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The movie's total collection now stands at Rs 44.64 crore.

The action-animation film opened on a modest note, earning Rs 1.75 crore on its first Friday, on July 25, and gained gradual momentum.

Despite minimal pre-release buzz, the animated movie inspired by Hindu mythology has surprised with solid collections. Besides Hindi, Mahavatar Narsimha was also released in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.

Meanwhile, Film critic Taran Adarsh revealed that the movie opened on a modest note, earning Rs 1.46 crore on its first Friday, on July 25. The subsequent weekend holiday further helped the movie gain much-needed momentum on Saturday and Sunday.

“Mahavatar Narsimha [Hindi version] is yet another winner from Hombale Films… A film that arrived with no buzz, minimal awareness, and low expectations, yet witnessed solid growth right from Day 1,” Adarsh said in a post on X on Friday.
