A video from Bengaluru has gone viral that shows an entrepreneur attempting to fix a pothole in an unusual way. The man in the clip, identified as entrepreneur Akhil Hemadri, is seen using his luxury car as part of the repair process, drawing widespread attention online.
In the video, Hemadri can be seen arriving at a damaged stretch of road in a red Porsche. He takes out cement and other construction material from the vehicle and begins preparing a mixture. What stands out is his choice of surface. He uses the bonnet of the car to mix the cement.
Once the mixture is ready, he moves to the pothole and fills it by trying to level the uneven patch. He then removes the sheet from the bonnet, which shows that the car remains undamaged. The act appears planned to show how the protective layer prevented harm to the vehicle.
The video was shared with a caption that spoke about individual responsibility. It stated, “Every person should take responsibility to keep our surroundings clean and neat. We should not always depend on the government for everything. Our country is highly populated, and change cannot come by government efforts alone. Real change begins when each one of us does our part.”
At the same time, the caption clarified that the video was also intended to promote Hemadri's business. “This video was made purely to promote my company's brand and to showcase the strength of PPF for car protection. But beyond business, it also carries a message — if we protect what belongs to us, care for our surroundings, and act responsibly, we can build a cleaner and better nation,” it stated.
The clip has gained traction as road conditions in Bengaluru continue to frustrate residents. Complaints about potholes and damaged roads remain a common feature.

In October last year, on Reddit, a resident shared how a pothole they repaired using personal funds was damaged shortly after. According to the post, a tanker driver drove over the newly fixed patch within an hour.
Such incidents have led to ongoing conversations around public behaviour and the upkeep of civic infrastructure in the city.
