Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and Xiaomi Pad 8 will launch in India during the second week of March. This follows the launch of the Xiaomi 17 series in select global markets on Feb. 28. A dedicated microsite on Amazon had also gone live earlier, confirming their availability through the e-commerce platform, which now also reveals key specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

Xiaomi posted on X to confirm that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, along with the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi Pad 8, will launch in India on March 11. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 will further go on sale in India through the Xiaomi India online store and Amazon. The updated microsite for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra shows details matching its global version.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17: Key Specs And Features
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone will run Xiaomi's Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. It also features LPDDR5x RAM paired with UFS 4.1 storage.
The India version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is confirmed to house a 6,000mAh battery, backed by 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Xiaomi claims that a single charge can offer up to 1.5 days of usage, and the battery retains around 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
The global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO Amoled display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,060 nits. The device includes a Leica-tuned triple rear setup: a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto. For selfies, it houses a 50MP front camera.
The Xiaomi 17 features a smaller 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The device uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset as the Ultra variant. The Xiaomi 17 includes a Leica-tuned triple rear setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, alongside a 50MP front camera.
