The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 26,084.5 crore in market valuation on Tuesday, with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.

TCS witnessed a sharp fall among the top 10 most-valued firms with a loss of Rs 11,324.6 crore, bringing its market capitalisation to Rs 14.01 lakh crore. HUL saw a decrease of Rs 7,847.6 crore in its market cap, which stands at Rs 5.39 lakh crore.

ICICI Bank Ltd. witnessed a market-cap loss of Rs 6,069.9 crore, bringing its market cap to Rs 8.76 lakh crore.

Bharti Airtel Ltd. and ITC Ltd. incurred a significant market capitalisation loss of Rs 3,446 crore and Rs 4,191.4 crore respectively.

Reliance Industries Ltd. retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank Ltd., Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys Ltd., State Bank of India, HUL, Bajaj Finance and ITC.

India's benchmark equity indices ended marginally lower on Tuesday, managing to reverse steeper losses. Information technology and oil and gas stocks rallied, while consumer durables and autos faced selling pressure.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 14.2 points or 0.06% lower at 22,945.30 and the BSE Sensex closed 29.47 points or 0.04% lower at 75,967.39.
