Market Outlook
Indian equities end volatile session in red, extending the fall for the third day. Nifty had fallen below the 25,000 levels but closed above 25,100. Intraday, both Nifty and Sensex fell nearly 1.50%. The Nifty ended 75 points or 0.3% lower at 25,157.5. The BSE Sensex closed 261.41 points or 0.32% down at 81,919.06.
US Market Wrap
S&P 500 futures rose 0.3%, suggesting the rally could have further room to run. Nvidia-supplier Disco Corp. jumped 17%, while Samsung Electronics Co. rose 3.5%. Treasuries were steady in early Asian trading on Thursday after a $13 billion auction of 20-year bonds in the US met solid demand, reports Bloomberg.The dollar also edged higher.

Asian stocks tracked Wall Street's gains after US President Donald Trump dropped his tariff threat against European partners, alleviating trade war concerns. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index jumped 0.9%, poised to snap a three-day losing streak, with most sub-sectors in the green. Meanwhile, South Korean shares surged to a record high.
Commodities Check
Oil prices have stabilised, with global benchmark Brent trading above $65 a barrel, following a 2% rise over the past two days. West Texas Intermediate is hovering around $61. This price shift comes as geopolitical tensions over Greenland ease, boosting wider markets and counterbalancing supply concerns.
Meanwhile, gold prices have dipped after US President Donald Trump announced a "framework of a future deal" regarding Greenland, scrapping plans to impose tariffs on European nations. As a result, bullion fell 1.1% in early trading, pulling back from its three-day gain that took it to a record high of over $4,888 an ounce. Silver also declined, sliding 2.1% to $46.51 per ounce, according to recent market trends. Platinum and palladium followed suit, with platinum dropping to $1,549.85 and palladium at $1,385.50, reported Bloomberg.
