Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On July 8: Kotak Mahindra, Eternal To Titan, Bajaj Auto

Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Eternal Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd., NTPC Ltd. and Grasim Industries Ltd. were among the top gainers in the NSE Nifty 50 on Tuesday.

While Titan Co., Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Cipla Ltd. and Trent Ltd. dragged.

Marking the highest losses for the day, Titan declined nearly 6.17%. Dr. Reddy's Lab ended 2.02% lower. Bajaj Auto and Cipla closed over 1% lower. While, Trent stock also declined 1.07%.

Kotak Mahindra Bank led with 3.45% gains. Eternal and Asian Paints closed with nearly 2% gains. NTPC shares closed 1.63% up, while shares of Grasim Industries also closed in the green, marking gains of 1.28%.

The stock market closed with mixed sectoral indices on Tuesday. Nifty Realty emerged as the top sectoral gainer, with Brigade Enterprises and Prestige Estates leading gains.

This marks the third consecutive day of gains for Nifty Realty. On the other hand, Nifty Pharma experienced the most significant decline, ending lower for the second day in a row. Benchmarks continued their upward trend, gaining for the third day in a row and outperforming the broader markets.

However, the midcap and smallcap segments did not share the same positive momentum. Midcaps fell for the third consecutive day, while smallcaps ended lower for the second day in a row. This divergence highlights the varied performance across different market segments as investors navigate the current economic landscape.
