Shares of NTPC Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Wipro Ltd. and Power Grid Corp. contributed positively to changes in the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Tuesday.
The benchmark indices resumed their losing streak on Tuesday, after advancing on Monday. But on Tuesday NSE Nifty 50 ended 36.75 points, or 0.16% lower at 22,922.75, while the BSE Sensex closed 29.47 points or 0.039% down at 75,967.36.
In terms of sectoral performance, the market was mixed, with six sectors declining and six sectors gaining. Among the laggards, Nifty FMCG, Auto and PSU Bank were the worst performers. While, Nifty IT, Oil & Gas and Energy led gains.

Top Gainers
The top gainer for the day was NTPC, which gained 2.76% during trade. Tech Mahindra was the next biggest gainer, rising 2.39%, closely followed by Wipro Ltd. and Power Grid Corp. that advanced 2.23% and 1.27%, respectively.
Top Losers
IndusInd Bank dragged the most, falling 2.32%. Trent Ltd. closely followed with 1.99% decline. BEL, Ultratech Cement and HUL shares were also down 1.75%, 1.52% and 1.46%, respectively.
