The Railway Board has approved the launch of a new Vande Bharat Express linking Udaipur in Rajasthan and Gujarat's Ahmedabad. The semi-high-speed train will operate between Udaipur City and Ahmedabad's Asarwa stations of the North Western Railway (NWR) zone.

“Train No. 20981/82 (Udaipur City–Agra Cantt–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will not be operated from Feb. 15, 2026, while Train No. 20979/80 (Udaipur City–Jaipur–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will not run from Feb. 14, 2026,” NWR said.

Udaipur City - Asarwa Vande Bharat Express: Timings, Route, Train Number, Stops

The Udaipur City–Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, with no service on Tuesdays. Train No. 26963 is scheduled to leave Udaipur at 6:10 a.m. and reach Asarwa at 10:25 a.m. In the return direction, Train No. 26964 will leave Asarwa at 5:45 p.m. and is scheduled to reach Udaipur City at 10:00 p.m.

The train connecting Udaipur with Asarwa will halt at Zawar, Dungarpur, and Himmat Nagar, according to the North Western Railway.

Capable of touching speeds of up to 160 km/h, the Udaipur–Asarwa Vande Bharat train promises a faster and more convenient journey for passengers.
