Middle East Crisis: Air India Offers Full Refund On Cancellation, Free Rescheduling For Flights Upto March 10

The airline said that that it will continue to closely assess the situation and may add more flights on these select routes beyond 11 March.

Air India on Wednesday announced that it will issue full refund for cancellation of confirmed tickets booked on or before February 28, amid ongoing Middle East crisis impacting flights

“In view of the continuing situation in the Middle East impacting flight operations, Air India is offering customers the option of complimentary rescheduling or full refunds on cancellation for confirmed bookings made on or before 28 February 2026 on flights to and from the Middle East, the UK and Europe for travel up to 10 March 2026," said the airline in a post on X.

The airline further stated, “We continue to monitor the evolving situation and remain committed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew. We recommend you to check your updated flight status on http://airindia.com or reaching out to our 24/7 contact centre for any support.”

The airline stated that in view of the continuing situation in the Middle East, Air India has extended the suspension of most of its flights to and from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Qatar until 2359 hrs IST on 4 March 2026.

Airlines Operates Additional Flights : 

The airline has also announced additional flights in response to high demand amid the ongoing situation in West Asia. It said it is deploying additional capacity to Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

From 5 to 11 March, the airline will operate three additional flights between Delhi and Toronto. From 7 to 10 March, three additional flights will operate between Delhi and Frankfurt, along with one additional flight between Delhi and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

The airline stated that these additional services will provide more flight options to travellers on these select routes, with convenient connections beyond Delhi to destinations across Air India's domestic India and Southeast Asia networks.

The airline added that it will continue to closely assess the situation and may add more flights on these select routes beyond 11 March. 

Meanwhile, Air India Express, the subsidiary and low-cost carrier of Air India, announced that it will continue operating flights to and from Muscat on 5 March 2026, along with additional flights between Muscat and Delhi and Mumbai.

The airline also stated that it is operating special flights from Ras Al Khaimah connecting Delhi, Kochi and Mumbai until 7 March 2026.

Air India Express will continue operating flights to and from Muscat on 5 March 2026, along with additional flights between Muscat and Delhi and Mumbai.

"We are also operating special flights from Ras Al Khaimah connecting Delhi, Kochi, and Mumbai until 7 March 2026."
