Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will acquire Porsche AG subsidiary, MHP Management for € 320 million (Rs 3,575 crore), the IT giant informed exchanges on Monday, August 24.
This acquisition is a part of the strategic partnership between TCS and Porsche, with the aim to boost AI led transformation.
Through this partnership, TCS and Porsche will collaborate to industrialise AI across Porsche's engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer experience and enterprise transformation agenda, and deliver next-generation automotive technology services and software-defined mobility platforms for sustained value creation, the IT giant said.
The acquisition requires approvals from European Commission under the EU merger control regulation, EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments in Romania under any applicable Romanian foreign direct investment law. Additionally, an application for a certificate of non-objection will be submitted to the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy in Germany
The acquisition is expected to be completed within three to four months.
MHP is a fully owned subsidiary of Porsche AG, incorporated on May 13, 1996. The company is automotive and industrial consulting firm with expertise in business consulting, digital transformation, AI, software-defined mobility, SAP and manufacturing digitalisation mobility. In the last three years turnover, MHP's turnover stood at € 828 million in CY23, € 830 million in CY24 and € 742 million in CY25. It has presence in Germany, Romania, UK, USA, India and Mexico through its
subsidiaries.
