Jana Nayagan picked up pace at the box office on its third Saturday, with collections more than doubling from the previous day. The Thalapathy Vijay-starrer earned Rs 2.35 crore net in India on Day 17, up 135% from the Rs 1 crore it collected on Friday, according to Sacnilk.

With the latest earnings, the film's India net collection has reached Rs 188.50 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 219.71 crore. Backed by an overseas gross of Rs 93.15 crore, the film's worldwide collection has climbed to Rs 312.86 crore.

Jana Nayagan Box Office Performance

The H. Vinoth directorial opened to a strong response, collecting Rs 153.55 crore in its first week. It added another Rs 31.60 crore in the second week despite the expected weekday slowdown.

The film entered its third week with Rs 1.60 crore on Thursday and dipped to Rs 1 crore on Friday before bouncing back on Saturday. The Day 17 collection of Rs 2.35 crore marks its best single-day performance in the third week so far.

Occupancy and language-wise collection

Jana Nayagan was screened across 2,087 shows on Saturday. The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor, earning Rs 2.20 crore, while the Hindi version added Rs 15 lakh.

The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 40.74%. Morning shows recorded 23.42% occupancy, which improved to 40.42% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy stood at 39.42%, while night shows witnessed the strongest response at 48.58%.

Worldwide performance

The film also continued to add to its overseas tally, collecting Rs 25 lakh gross on Day 17. Its overseas earnings have now reached Rs 93.15 crore, taking the worldwide gross collection to Rs 312.86 crore.
