Varun Berry, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), vice chairman and managing director at Britannia has been appointed as an Independent Director at Havells India Ltd., according to an exchange filing from the company on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

He also previously served as the CEO of Pepsico Foods India from 2010-2013 after previously serving at Pepsico International as the CEO of the International Dairy And Juice Sector. He joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Vietnam in 2000 after which he became Country Manager in the Philippines.

He served as the Market Unit General Manager at Pepsico India from 1993 to 2000 and Marketing Manager Unilever India - Brooke Bond India Ltd. from 1986 to 1992.

Berry has also done a course in Strategic Management from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) in 2003 and the Global Leadership Program at IMD, Switzerland in 2008.

"He has an experience of 40 years with Companies like HUL, PepsiCo in India and overseas and a successful track record in leading start-ups, turnarounds, JVs (joint venture) and growth businesses," the exchange filing.

Namrata Kaul was also re-appointed for a second term for a period of five years. Havells described Kaul as a career banker with extensive experience of over 30 years with regards to corporate banking, debt capital markets and corporate finance in India, Asia and UK.

"As managing director at Deutsche Bank AG, Kaul led the Corporate Bank practice as its India Head. She was also responsible for managing risk, credit, compliances and regulatory reporting for the corporate portfolio of the bank," the release said.
