Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Up By Rs 50

The price of domestic LPG cylinders have been hiked in Delhi amid rising global gas prices and soaring inflation across commodities.

The price of a domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 50 a cylinder, effective July 6, according to a notification by Indane Gas, a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. Non-subsidised LPG will now cost Rs 1,053 in Delhi. This is the third hike since May.

Prices of the domestic 14.2 kg cylinder have also been raised by Rs 50 across Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

The price for a 5 kg cylinder was hiked by Rs 18 per cylinder, while that of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was cut by Rs 8.5 to Rs 2,012.5 in Delhi.

The prices of commercial cylinders have come down from all-time highs in May, when it touched Rs 2,355.5 in Delhi and Rs 2,500.8 in Chennai.
