The US Embassy in Jerusalem has issued a fresh security alert for American citizens in the Middle East, urging them to exercise heightened vigilance amid the risk of further escalation in the region.
The warning comes as tensions between the United States and Iran intensify, raising concerns over possible attacks, flight disruptions and temporary airspace closures.
Washington has warned that Iran and groups aligned with Tehran could target US interests and locations associated with Americans overseas.
The latest advisory does not amount to an evacuation order.
Israel continues to remain under a Level 3 travel advisory, under which Americans are advised to reconsider travel.

The embassy has asked US citizens in the region to remain alert and prepare for potential disruptions to commercial air travel.
Americans have been advised to confirm flight schedules directly with airlines, as carriers could cancel or alter services at short notice.
The embassy has also urged citizens to download the Israel Defense Forces' Home Front Command application, identify the nearest available shelter and keep essential supplies readily accessible in case the security situation deteriorates.
The latest warning is notably softer than the US Embassy's August 1 alert, which had advised Americans in the region to consider departing.
The current guidance instead focuses on preparedness and vigilance rather than urging citizens to leave Israel.
The warning follows a fresh flare-up between Washington and Tehran, including US strikes on Iranian missile launchers and subsequent Iranian missile attacks targeting US forces in Jordan.
The developments have heightened fears of further retaliation and a wider regional escalation.
The US State Department has separately warned that Americans travelling through the Middle East should be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures and other travel disruptions.
