Qatar's emergency services have issued a high-level security alert, broadcasting an urgent warning to all mobile phones across the nation for the first time in a week today, as per Al Jazeera. The notification instructs residents to remain indoors and stay clear of windows in anticipation of an imminent Iranian missile or drone attack.
As regional tensions escalate, authorities are urging the public to prioritise immediate safety and follow all official protocols. The widespread emergency reinforces the severity of the current threat, marking a significant intensification in security measures as the country witnesses aerial strikes.

As per the Qatar News Agency (QNA), with the security threat level currently at its peak, residents are being urged to remain indoors and avoid all exposed areas. Qatar's Ministry of Interior has issued a direct call for the public to shelter in place or relocate to designated safe zones to ensure maximum safety.
Bahrain's Interior Ministry also informed about a warning in an X post. "The siren has been sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place," it said.
The Gulf region has been on high alert since the US and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran from Feb. 28. In retaliation, Tehran has struck Israel, Dubai, Iraq, Jordan and Gulf countries with drones and missiles for hosting US military forces, causing disruption of global shipping routes.
