About Rameshwaram Cafe

The name "Rameshwaram" is inspired by the hometown of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. The brand celebrates South Indian culture through its food and style of serving. The cafe has grown into one of India's largest South Indian restaurant chains. It reportedly serves around 15,000 to 20,000 idlis and dosas every day across outlets.

One thing that guests quickly notice is the use of pure ghee. Every dish gets a generous drizzle, even after cooking. The food is served on banana leaves, keeping the traditional touch alive.

What Should You Order?

If you are visiting for the first time, there are a few dishes that regulars swear by. Start with the Ghee Podi Thatte Idli. It is soft, fluffy and topped with a generous layer of podi and ghee. The Button Idli is another favourite.

Dosa lovers can go for the Benne Masala Dosa. If you prefer rice-based dishes, try the Tomato Rice or Tamarind Rice for a tangy kick.

Coffee fans will not be disappointed. Their Filter Coffee is strong and aromatic. Pair it with crunchy Benne Murukku for a perfect combo. End your meal with Sakkarai Pongal, a sweet dish made with rice, moong dal, jaggery and ghee.
