Welcome to our live coverage of India's final group stage outing at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The Men in Blue close out their Group A campaign against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Suryakumar Yadav won the Toss and opted to bat first as India made two changes to their Playing XI with Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar replacing Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. The Netherlands made one change with Noah Croes coming in for Fred Klaassen.

Aryan Dutt gave the Dutch team a blazing start as he castled Abhishek Sharma in the first over. It was the third duck in a row at the T20 World Cup for the No. 1 ranked T20I batter. Dutt also got rid of Ishan Kishan in the powerplay as India lost both openers early.

IND vs NED Live: India Finish With 51/2 In The Powerplay

Kyle Klein, right-arm medium, comes in to bowl the final over of the powerplay. He's welcome with a beautiful cover drive by Suryakumar who sends the 1st ball racing to the ropes for FOUR. Both batters grab singles off the next two balls.

Suryakumar looks to flick the 4th delivery but this time gets a big leading edge that lands safely at backward point. He blocks the 5th delivery and ends the over with a single.

7 runs come off the over.

IND vs NED Live: Dutt Strikes Again As India Lose Both Openers In The Powerplay

BOWLED HIM! Kishan b Aryan Dutt 18 (7)

Aryan Dutt is having a fine time bowling in the powerplay at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He comes in to bowl his third over in the Powerplay and this time gets the important wicket of the dangerous Ishan Kishan.

Kishan starts the over with a fierce pull to send the 1st ball racing through midwicket for FOUR. He then heaves at the 2nd delivery but this time it's a quicker slider by Dutt and Kishan misses completely as the ball hits his thigh pad and then lobs up to hit his elbow which in turn directs it onto the stumps. Quite the odd dismissal but Dutt won't mind as he's reeling away in celebration.

India's captain Suryakumar Yadav walks out to bat and gets off the mark with a single. Tilak meanwhile flicks the 5th delivery beautifully through midwicket for FOUR.

9 runs and a wicket come off the over.

India 44/2 after 5 overs.

IND vs NED Live: Spin From Both Ends In The Powerplay

Colin Ackermann, right-arm off break, comes into the attack as Netherlands opt for spin from both ends now.

Tilak goes for the reverse sweep on the 2nd ball but only bunts it back to the bowler. However, Ackermann has a shy at the non-striker's end but misses as they grab a single.

Kishan dances down the track on the 3rd delivery and deposits it into the stands over deep extra cover for his first SIX of this innings. He advances again but this time taps it to the off-side for a single.

Tilak gets down low and sweeps the final delivery for FOUR. 12 runs come off the over as India step on the accelerator.

India 35/1 after 4 overs.

IND vs NED Live: Another Tight Over By Aryan Dutt

Dutt continues from the other end as he begins the over with two dot balls. Tilak then reaches out and smacks the 3rd ball back over the bowler's head for FOUR.

Dutt does well to give away just a single off the last 3 balls. Just 5 runs come off the over.

India 23/1 after 3 overs.

IND vs NED Live: Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan Get Going!

Logan van Beek, right-arm fast medium, comes in to bowl the second over.

Tilak Varma immediately gets going as he launches the first delivery straight back over van Beek's head for a flat SIX. He then rotates strike with a quick single.

Kishan then gets off the mark as he waits back and plays a late cut to send it racing to the boundary for FOUR. He then skips down the track and sends the next ball flying over midwicket but good work in the outfield keeps it down to 3 runs. Tilak ends the over with a single.

15 runs come off the over.

India 18/1 after 2 overs.

IND vs NED Live: India 3/1 After The First Over

It's a great start for the Dutch as they inflict further misery Abhishek Sharma. The Indian opener takes a vicious swipe at the third delivery from Aryan Dutt but the spinner sends down a quicker delivery that whizzes past the inside edge to crash into the leg-stump.

Tilak Varma walks out to bat and a misfield on the final delivery sees him get off the mark with 3 runs. That fumble in the outfield is the only blot in the over which denies Dutt a wicket-maiden

IND vs NED Live: Abhishek Sharma Walks Out Wearing Mohammad Siraj's Jersey

There's a slight delay in proceedings as there's an issue with Abhishek Sharma's match jersey. The Indian opener finally walks out wearing Siraj's shirt. Maybe this will bring a change of luck for the No. 1 ranked T20I batter who has only managed to register two ducks so far in the tournament.

Ishan Kishan joins him in the middle and takes position at the non-striker's end.

Aryan Dutt the off-spinner is handed the new ball as Netherlands opt to open the bowling with spin.

IND vs NED Pitch Report: "It's a batter's paradise. And it gets better as the night comes on"

Doing the pitch report at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, former England captain Nasser Hussain says, "Last game of Group A comes from Ahmedabad, and the weather is pretty good to be honest. It says 31 is the high. I think we've gone past that, and it'll be closer to 29 degrees, which is very comfortable, especially with that breeze and the low humidity. The all-important ground dimensions, if you have a look at it, it is 70 metres down the ground, and batting at this end as a right-hander, it's shorter leg side, 60 metres and a bit further, 68 metres,"

"It's a batter's paradise. And it gets better as the night comes on. The dew gets in here a little bit later on. But batters love it here. Second highest scoring ground in the competition so far. So maybe there are a few cracks, but they do absolutely nothing. Now I'll tell you what, as a bowler, well what is successful here? We've seen actually that fuller length, sometimes in the slot area, has been really effective. But it's been more pace off delivery. So if you're a pace bowler, which two teams here, Netherlands and India, both have exceptional pace bowling units, get the ball into the surface, be able to cause a little bit of issues. And we know there's some world-class batters on show that oval light up for those boundary dimensions you've talked about," adds Katey Martin.

"Yeah, it is a good pitch. It's black soil. It looks rock hard. Excellent surface. There'll be a real atmosphere here as well this evening. We're looking forward to it." concludes Hussain.

IND vs NED Captain's Speak: Suryakumar Yadav Has One Eye On The Upcoming Super 8 Clash Against South Africa At This Same Venue

Here's what the captains had to say at the Toss.

Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): We are going to bat first. Looks a good surface, we practiced here last night, there was a little bit of dew, so hopefully we get runs on the board and try and defend it because we're going to play the game on a similar strip 2 or 3 days later, so why not put bowlers under a little bit of pressure. (happy with how things have gone?) Absolutely, I mean, the mood in the camp is amazing. Boys are turning up really nicely, and the brand of cricket which I want them to play, I think they're responding it really well. (new performer in every game) Every game there's someone or the other raising their hand, taking the fight out, so it's good to see. Hopefully a new Man of the Match tonight and then we go into the Super 8. We have two changes - Arshdeep comes in for Kuldeep, Axar is resting and Washington comes in.

Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): Yeah, we would (have batted). Also looks like pretty good wickets. (what are you looking for from this game?) Obviously, yeah, playing in India is always an awesome experience. We feel like we've played a lot of good cricket. We've probably missed a couple of chances. So, yeah, for us, it's just about finishing our campaign well. (what are the areas you are trying to improve?) Probably all over the streak now, I think. You know, in patches we've been good with the bat and with the ball. But, yeah, just looking to put in a complete performance today. We have one change - Noah Croes comes in for Fred Klaassen.

IND vs NED Live: Netherlands Players To Watch Out For

Team India will be vary of a few players who could pose problems in their quest to keep their winning streak going. Here's a list of players to watch out for from the Dutch side:

Bas de Leede: The absolute heartbeat of the Dutch side, de Leede is a world-class all-rounder who can single-handedly change a game. He typically bats at number four and is responsible for bowling the difficult "death" overs. de Leede starred in Netherlands’ only win of the tournament so far as he scored an unbeaten 72* off 48 balls and took 2/20 against Namibia.

Max O'Dowd: O'Dowd is the man India will want to dismiss early. As the Netherlands’ all-time leading T20I run-scorer, he acts as the anchor that allows the rest of the lineup to explode. He holds a career average of nearly 30 with a strike rate of 122, showing he knows how to balance caution with aggression.

Scott Edwards: The captain and wicketkeeper, Edwards is widely considered one of the best players of spin among the Associate nations. He’s a smart user of the sweep and reverse-sweep, which will be vital tools against India’s spinners in Ahmedabad.

Paul van Meekeren: Van Meekeren is the "enforcer" of the bowling attack. Standing tall and bowling with genuine pace, he provides the intimidation factor for the Netherlands. With a T20 World Cup economy rate of under 7.5, he is incredibly difficult to get away and has a knack for picking up "big" wickets.
