IITs Lead QS World University Rankings In India; MIT Tops Global List

In the latest QS World University Ranking 2025, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) Bombay and Delhi have secured positions within the top 150 globally. IIT Bombay, which held the top spot last year among Indian universities, has made a significant leap, climbing from 149th to 118th position this year. Meanwhile, IIT Delhi has also shown significant progress, ascending from 197th to 150th place.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) continues its reign as the world's premier institute for the 13th consecutive year, maintaining its stellar reputation in academia.

Overall, 61% of Indian universities have seen an improvement in their rankings.
