Cyclone Fengal Updates: As per the latest bulletin shared by the India Meteorological Department, the impending cyclonic storm Fengal is closing in on the Tamil Nadu coast. The weather department mentioned that the deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal remained practically stationary during the past 6 hours. The weather system was located about 480 km south-southeast of Chennai and 410 km southeast of Puducherry. It is very likely to move north-northwestwards skirting Sri Lanka's coast during the next 12 hours.

Most importantly IMD stated that there is a possibility of marginal intensification of the deep depression into a cyclonic storm with a wind speed of up to 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the evening of November 28 to the morning of November 29 2024.
