Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport has reportedly been named the ‘Best Airport at Arrivals' for the fourth consecutive year. According to a report by Asianet Newsable, the recognition was given as part of the 2025 Airport Service Quality rankings by the Airports Council International (ACI).
The award acknowledges the airport's performance in providing a smooth arrival experience for passengers, including its facilities and services.
This marks the fourth straight year that the Bengaluru airport has received the ‘Best Airport at Arrivals' title. It has been winning the award every year since 2022.
“Every passenger's arrival is our responsibility. We design our operations to give them the speed and comfort they want,” Girish Nair, the airport's Chief Operating Officer, was quoted as saying by Asianet Newsable.
Furthermore, he explained that the airport team focuses on ensuring a positive experience from the moment passengers step off the aircraft. "This award shows our consistent performance and the collective commitment of our staff and partners," he added.
The Airport Service Quality awards are based on passenger feedback collected through globally certified surveys. These surveys measure opinions on various aspects such as services, facilities, convenience, and cleanliness.
According to a report by NewsFirst Prime, key improvements that contributed to the airport's continued recognition include faster immigration processing, more efficient baggage reclaim systems, clearer wayfinding and improved signage, better comfort inside terminal areas, and expanded digital services for travellers.
The report added that these steps have helped ensure a steady and predictable movement of passengers, especially during busy travel periods.
Meanwhile, Karnataka's Industries Minister MB Patil also responded to the recognition in a post on ‘X'.
He wrote, “Proud moment for Karnataka. Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport being crowned the World's Best Airport on Arrivals for the 4th consecutive year reflects the city's world-class infrastructure and service standards.With Karnataka being the Aerospace & Defence Capital and rapid infrastructure growth in the region, Bengaluru's aviation ecosystem is poised for even greater global recognition.”
