Unichem Laboratories' shares jumped over 15 per cent early on Monday, leading the BSE top gainers' chart after the company announced a 200 per cent dividend of Rs 4 per equity share on Friday.
On the BSE, Unichem Lab's shares were last trading at Rs 272.90, a 15.05 per cent gain from its previous close of Rs 237.20.
On Friday, in a stock exchange filing, the company declared a 200 per cent dividend, Rs 4 on a face value of Rs 2 per share, for the year that ended on March 31, 2022, and subject to the approval of shareholders.
Broader domestic indices too rose sharply in opening deals on Monday, taking cues from global markets, driven by an increase in risk-on bets as investors look for yield.
