Reliance Jio Leads In Subscriber Additions In April, Bharti Airtel Follows

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has released its subscriber data for April. Reliance Jio emerged as the leader in net additions, while state owned BSNL recorded net loss in mobile subscribers.

Reliance Jio added 26.4 lakh mobile subscribers in April, up from 21.7 lakh net additions in March. Bharti Airtel added 1.71 lakh mobile subscribers in April, a notable decrease from the 12.5 lakh net additions in March.

Vodafone Idea faced challenges, as it lost 6.47 lakh mobile subscribers in April, compared to 5.4 lakh users lost in March.

BSNL experienced a net loss of 1.55 lakh mobile subscribers in April, a significant shift from the 49,177 mobile user additions in March. The state-owned telecom operator is grappling with operational and competitive challenges, impacting its subscriber base.
