JioHotstar has introduced revised annual prices for its super and premium plans, which will be effective for new users from Jan. 28. JioHotstar said current subscribers will continue to pay their existing rates, provided auto-renewal is kept switched on.
A key change in the revamped pricing strategy is the rollout of monthly subscriptions, which will be available for all tiers alongside the established quarterly and annual plans. The company claims the monthly plans will offer greater flexibility to mobile and large-screen viewers.
While premium subscribers will face higher charges on quarterly and annual plans, the platform has introduced more affordable monthly options, with mobile access starting at Rs 79.
Under the revised pricing scheme, the annual cost of the premium plan will see a 47% hike to Rs 2,199 from Rs 1,499 currently.
The annual cost of the super plan will be raised by 22% to Rs 1,099 from the current Rs 899.

| Mobile | Monthly | Rs 79 |
| Mobile | Quarterly | Rs 149 |
| Mobile | Annual | Rs 499 |
| Super | Monthly | Rs 149 |

| Super | Annual | Rs 1,099 |
| Premium | Monthly | Rs 299 |
| Premium | Quarterly | Rs 699 |
| Premium | Annual | Rs 2,199 |
The company said the pricing overhaul mirrors changing viewing patterns, as a growing number of households switch to connected televisions and use multiple devices. According to JioHotstar, viewing on larger screens has surged over the past year, leading it to recalibrate prices around in-home consumption.
The revised offering also reshapes how content libraries are divided across subscription levels, with a particular focus on international titles.
Subscribers signing up to the Super and Premium plans will continue to receive Hollywood titles as part of the core package.
However, mobile-tier users will no longer get international content by default and will need to opt for a separate add-on, enabling more tailored pricing based on individual viewing habits.
The pricing update coincides with a series of growth milestones for JioHotstar, including more than one billion downloads on the Google Play Store and a monthly active user base exceeding 450 million across the country.
With a content library of more than 300,000 hours, the platform brings together marquee sporting rights, content from over 100 network channels, a curated anime hub, and creator-focused offerings housed within Sparks.
