The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.49% or 113.15 points down at 23,092.20 and the BSE Sensex closed 0.43% or 329.92 points down at 76,190.46.

Ten out of the 12 sectors on the NSE ended in the red, with the Nifty Media, Realty, Oil & Gas, Pharma, Energy and Auto being the top losers.

The market breadth was skewed in favour of the sellers as 2,900 stocks declined, 1,044 advanced and 115 remained unchanged on the BSE.
